Republican National Convention(RNC)
Chair: Tim Parker
Chair: Griffin Wallick
Vice Chair: Max Lee
The Republican National Convention of 2020 has arrived. The party must establish its agenda for the upcoming presidential race and following years. Last election, Hillary Clinton won the Electoral College, and subsequently, became president over the Republican nominee, Donald Trump. While in some areas the nation has advanced and improved, there are still many issues that Americans face every day. Included in the background guide are general summaries of economic, political, and social issues, historical changes on each subject, and possible solutions. Delegates should not only rely on the topics in the background guide, as there is limited background information for each topic and number of topics mentioned due to time, but also debate other issues not fully mentioned within the guide, including immigration, foreign relations with specific countries, certain industrial regulations and policies, new technology, state versus federal right issues, etc. Delegates will outline the Republican Party agenda and policies, and if we have time, choose a nominee for the 2020 election.
